Tootsie stole our hearts from day she came home to live with Walter and me and our Irish Setters. She made her presence known to our two Irish setters and quickly took charge of the house. Tootsie was very affectionate to everyone. She had what we always called " Better Davis Eyes " and worked the room like a Sussex should do and got attemtion from everyone.
My grandmother lived with us until she passed and whenever I couldn't find Tootise, there she was with my grandmother. Tootsie was with her all the time. She was a wonderful therapy dog always there when my grandmother needed something or just hanging around with her. Both Tootsie and my grandmother gave each other a lot of love.
Tootsie was a great agility dog. My daughter Karen started working with her after she finished her Championship. She was the very first Sussex in the history of the bred to achieve an Agility title.
Ms.Tootsie is dearly missed. On November 8, 2010. we woke up and Tootsie was her happy and wonderful self but it was a different story when I got home from work that night. I rushed her to the vet to see what could be done, knowing in my heart it was time to say good by to her. She was our first Sussex, mother to Ch Maritime Perfect Storm and the first show dog for my granddaughter Abbey and her very best friend. Owned and loved by Alda and Walter Morris and Karen and Abby Booth

She was one of the best puppies we have ever owned. She took a hold of our hearts and keeps loving us more every day. She played with all of the puppies and has a great temperament. We are truly fortunate to have had her live with us! She just loved to be in the show ring!
At the 2006 Sussex Spaniel Club of America National Specialty Leia won an Judges Award of Merit along with Tommy. The first mated pair to ever accomplish this award together
In September 2010 Leia crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. She fought a hard battle with Cancer having three operations with in 110 days. We just could not stop the cancer. During her recovery on the third operation it migrated to her lungs and she was in terrific pain. I had to let her go. Owned and loved by Tim and Anke Lowe.
Soda was from our first litter and has joined her two sisters Star and Tootsie to run with the Angels. Soda brought us great joy, She loved her cookies and her rides on our Kawasaki mule. Soda was never bred, she let her sister Gem take care if that job. She preferred to be the princess of the house.
Soda also loved showing, this is a photo from 2009 when she went Best In Match. Soda was the oldest Sussex to compete at a National. In September she won a second place in Veterans at our National of 2011. She is greatly missed by Tom and me.
